You said particulate relevant to asthma but not to MCS - there in lies the rub - combustion particulate are not gas phase VOC it is true - but these particulate are laden with condensed bonded hydrocarbons - a thousand chemicals and metals - vapor hardened to a semi liquid phase on the particle - round numbers about half the adsorbed coating gives a quick release off the particle while the rest gradually comes off over up to months or years residence time in tissue - that's the message of the website - VOC is often recognized standing out but the continuous particulate vector laden with adsorbed chemical is a major exposure for an MCS person. Overlooking that is the big present day illusion.
I am running late - intending to be out the next 2 to 3 weeks away from computer. I'm glad to stay in touch with your concerns - and seriously I know the garage situation is frustrating. The last two motels I ever checked into years ago I slept out in a parking lot.
Anyway - I just have to stay out of town a lot - even there the pollution reaches - its difficult.
Keep in touch if you want - get us some members! smile...
I'm smiling when I say this - but are you for real? - double smile - setting up air quality monitors? I've been out for years at remote locations and have made subjective comparisons concerning affect on me and how the visibility looks - but I wonder what actual measurements would reveal? I guess they are quite expensive and perhaps not very portable?
I'm glad your "mildly sensitive" - I've been severe to where I've really had to avoid - thus the remoteness. Usually I'm out a few weeks at a time - sometimes 3 in the winter - so it can be that long between my trips to the computer. I have noticed also that copiers are painful - a head pain and somewhat woosy like.
Thanks for joining - I hope it helps us encourage others to join also.
