Hi Jodie,

I hope everything is well with you.

This site is not for the purpose of my harassing or chasing women or anyone.

I have had experience with initial enthusiasm and sudden silence and each time it happens I am puzzled.

Given the slow start or no start of this website - it seems doubtful it will serve much purpose. And soon I will have much less library computer time.

Anyway - best wishes to you - but I tell you matey you talk funny :) and as you rest quietly as a silent member - as many do! remember there is the American saying these days: its all good. Silent or not - its all good - best wishes to you, Mike

Uh Oh! Jodie's stiffing me off - now what did I do? smile... I'm trying to get this stuff done - it takes so long to do all the linked references. Is there any short cut for doing links?

I changed the forum categories - instead of Jodie's forums - I made 2 categories - MCS Information (general MCS info) and Reach Out (communication with others concerning MCS and the environment) - maybe thats better?

I organized the forums into categories so things won't get buried. Towards the top right on the forum page you can adjust to either categories or all the discussions. Should be easier to click on the categories. Of course let me know if you want me to change it in some way. I moved your comment on agencies recognizing MCS into a forum - my name automatically went on it - I can't adjust that unless you want to paste it to another so it posts with your name. Thanks.

I've got a project on the forums to finish it seems before looking at Wickipedia I guess - don't want to leave the new ones half done. Actually my computer time gets limited much of the year because I use libraries. The University can be relatively unlimited (where I am now) but city libraries are usually 4 hours or less. In Bozeman, Montana - once they start burning wood for heat by September I can't stand to be here. Even the exhaust is bad enough - so its usually in and back out for most of the time. I might be in a lot for awhile now to get this done.

What I've been trying to get across is that it is totally hopeless long as combustion is the answer for transportation. For most people exposure is continuous so unappreciated. The exposures often focused upon - household and so on - aren't nearly the bulk of the problem. It is a total lost cause with the exhaust. I also expect it is a fantasy to think I can really be much help - apparently people will just destroy whats left.

That seems totally strange that you can just go in and change things around on Wickieup - you can just erase anything? Actually Wickieup is a town in Arizona...

This is 4th comment to you this morning - I mentioned earlier I would be out away from the computer for a few weeks - I just got back today and responded to your comments soon as I saw them. Thanks.

That sounds wild - you can just go in and change it? I have to let that float for at least a little bit because I have a ton - thousands of pounds of studies for a forum. I don't know why they do these studies. I need to improve my venting forum ab - it still reads rude - but I have to disclaim some of this - these studies are measuring effects of things we shouldn't be burning in the first place. I think your right - follows the money. Just send me a check!

Whoops! Now I see your second comment about Wickepedia - thanks - I'll go back to it and ponder what you wrote. Mike

Hi Jodie,

I hope everything is well with you.

Thanks for the comment listing the agencies. I have disability with Social Security for MCS but refused to take any tests. I've been seeing a medical doctor they originally sent me to once a year since 2001. He documents that my severe manifestation of MCS is evident to his observation.

The operations manual for Social Security disability at the time specified that for EI (Environmental Illness) because laboratory findings are not always available that the decision can be based on signs and symptoms and on a case by case basis.

I guess judges can vary and so on. I was still wondering what you meant by editing Wickipedia.

Thanks again for the comment. Mike

Here is an afterthought of the message I sent you earlier this evening.

I didn't intend to be too negative about professionals - I just have noticed they do studies but may not be that interested in putting it together beyond the immediate scope of the study - maybe its harder for them to understand since they don't have MCS...

Hi Jodie, Thanks for the message. I appreciate it - I've been isolated on this topic

Yes - that Wiki MCS page seems like the average chaos - it would take a while to go through and debunk all of the false references. It seems like MCS has shown professional integrity in a bad light - there is so much false or misleading. They refuse to communicate when I try to contact them.

I would guess you could figure this all out. Once you get the context - its kind of like a baby learning the language. Then its a question of integrity. The professionals often have too many angles and ulterior motives. In many of the best studies they won't say MCS out loud to protect their reputation.

I just downloaded about 70 studies focused on TRP channels - receptors on the airway c-fibers that set off reaction. The etiology is close to precise. It looks like it is mostly the inflammatory response from TRPA1 on exposed sensory (c fiber) nerves in the airway. These nerves with TRPA1 receptors are exposed because the epithelial cells above were damaged so there are gaps and desquamation (bare spots). It all begins at birth with a genetic sensitivity concerning those nerves and adjacent cells.

Anyway - I'm going to disappear for a few weeks away from the computer. If I have time - I'll come back with a forum which will be the most advanced and accurate - update precise - MCS etiology applied to the majority of cases. I downloaded the referenced studies from some 3 of the linked studies I posted at the beginning of Forum ab.

I downloaded another stack of articles concerning the popularized peroxynitrite OH NOOO. A source stated that for any stimulus initiating the enzyme behind NO (nitric oxide production) - there is a lag time of 8 hours before increase in NO occurs which then could lead to NO plus super oxide equals peroxynitrite. If true - OH NOOO does not account for MCS reactivity and symptoms which can occur in seconds or minutes well within that 8 hour lag time.

Actually - I'd rather do something else than study this disease - the cause seems obvious enough. These studies become games - grant money - career fulfillment. That doesn't make the environment any better.

I hope I didn't put you to sleep in my ramble here.

When you said edit Wiki - I'm not sure what you meant - how do you edit Wiki?  Mike

Dear Jodie,

I noticed that you recommended the site to Matt at Ei resource.

Thanks for doing that.

I'm continuing to review - and correct, delete, or add as necessary. For example, I may have to take Tran 2012 out of the etiology - a closer look at the study shows the pain stimulus was applied to or injected in the skin which is not specific enough to the airway irritant stimulus behind MCS central hyperalgesia so that the combination of Bessac 2008 and Nassini 2011 may be strong support as they define and identify that blocking TRPA1 receptor hugely reduces response for head pain.

I had also thought I should delete MCS 2ab Etiology: All Heart. Maybe it seems too heavy or obnoxious to some. If you think I should delete it I might weigh you opinion a lot.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Jodie,

I had been away from the computer since June 4th. I approved your membership right away when I saw it. The ning platform requires that I approve members.

Thanks for joining. Thats very neat that you are in the UK. Thanks again, Mike
