At same length of exposure - a solvent or pesticide may far exceed the harm of vehicle exhaust. However, although there are exceptions - on a cumulative basis the ACA usually exceeds exposure to solvents and pesticides.

MCS people aren't genetically sensitive. Decades of continuous exposure to the ACA is not significant - a defective airway of tight junction defects, focal desquamation, and proliferation of nerve fibers (Meggs 1997) wide open to the CNS - compared to a solid barrier of protective enzymes (Baulig 2009, 2003a) doesn't effect vulnerability to solvents and pesticides.
